Pam Seaborn – Chair of the Blue Mountains food and wine advisory group Plate Up
Pam has more than 30 years’ experience in the communications industry.
Specialising in the corporate sector, Pam’s expertise lies in the creation and management of promotional packages that combine event management, sponsorship and promotion. Much of her work has been with sponsors in identifying opportunities, creating packages and ensuring clients receive maximum results from involvement in an event.
She has organised and managed many diverse events, including celebrity fundraisers, product launches, food festivals, community carnivals, corporate events, sponsored race days, corporate milestone celebrations and award presentation dinners. Many of these occasions have involved sporting legends, heads of government, adventurers, celebrities, business identities and performing artists.
Her first love, however, is for publishing, in which her considerable experience crosses several fields. She has promoted numerous significant works for entrepreneurial publisher, Kevin Weldon, including the first edition of The Macquarie Dictionary, as well as the Bradman Albums, Pelé Albums and food-related titles such as the internationally acclaimed Beautiful Cookbook series. The latter involved her participation in author tours with Lorenza De Medeci, Richard Olney and Chuck Williams of the renowned William Sonoma stores in the United States.
She has had success as a Literary Agent, bringing authors and publishers together resulting in the publication of high profile autobiographies, biographies and works of fiction.
Pam takes great pleasure in her wide spread voluntary work, spanning many years. She has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthwhile causes.
Pam now lives in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. She continues her voluntary work and is Chair of Plate Up BM, the GBM Food and Wine Development Advisory Group.
