WHO WE ARE
The Upper Blue Mountains Probus is a combined club for active retired men and women who appreciate and value the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of others in similar circumstances and of similar interests.
The club was formed in 1981 to serve the Leura, Katoomba and Wentworth Falls community and became a Combined Probus Club in 2018. As of August 2019 the membership stands at just over one hundred members.
Our club is part of Probus South Pacific which is all about friendship, fellowship and fun in retirement. Probus provides you with the opportunity to join together in a club and to progress healthy minds and active bodies through social interaction and activities with retirees in your community. Probus opens the door to new experiences and friendships, stay active by participating in a wide range of activities and explore your community, your country or the world. We have a very active calendar of events with special interest groups within the club which meet monthly. These include such activities as music, bush walking, bowls, travel, photography, current affairs and a diners group.
The club also has monthly day trips to places of interest locally and in the Sydney area for all members wishing to participate and also organises extended trips and/or tours.
